soft white damn is based on a quote from the work of American poet e e cummings. Pryor translated cummings' text " The snow doesn't give a soft white damn whom it touches" into a rudimentary one-patch font. The subtle use of tone-on-tone light fabrics is anti-graphic and further slows the reading of the text. Pryor tied the quilt with soft white yarn to mimic the quality of snowfall.
