Big Dipper Bench

Big Dipper Bench recreates the familiar asterism in a functional seating and solar lit sculpture. This sprawling artwork offers park-goers a place to rest and to contemplate the stars at night. Produced in collaboration with Nina Edwards Anker, with a grant from Bronx River Art Center and Lincoln Center Cultural Innovation Fund, this work commemorates the 1918 Exposition of Art, Science and Industry held in Starlight Park.
